First Wednesday Concert

The next installment of the First Wednesday Concert series will take place on Wednesday, December 2 at 12:10 p.m. The Madrigal Singers of St. Albans and National Cathedral Schools are a group of 36 high school age singers who aspire to the highest standards of choral singing. These young men and women are sophomores, juniors and seniors selected by audition from the 150-voice Upper School Chorale from the two schools for their exceptional musicianship, vocal prowess, and their passion for singing.

The “Mads” have performed at the White House, at the World Bank headquarters, for the National Tree Lighting, on National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered,” and on tour from coast to coast and internationally to England, Australia and South Africa, Argentina, and Chile.  On their program, titled Music of the Season, the “Mads” will be singing holiday favorites and lesser-known gems. The choirs will be directed by Charles Bowers, Director and Aaron Goen, Assistant Director.

Contact the Parish House office at (202) 347-8766 with questions.
