St. John’s Mission Trip to the Kwasa Centre in South Africa

St. John’s traveled again to the Kwasa Centre in South Africa from October 21 to October 28. I led the trip, which included spending time at the Kwasa Centre and with the Ven. Sharron Dinnie and her parishioners at St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Anglican Church. A special service dedicating new classrooms for grades one to four at Kwasa College was held during the mission trip. A grant from the Carghill Foundation, which Lu León was instrumental in arranging, is partially responsible for the construction of the new primary school rooms.

The following eighteen people joined the mission trip to the Kwasa Centre: St. John’s Parishioners Pat and Garry Dalby, Sharon and Randy DeAngelis, Kaye Edwards, Lauren Edwards, Martha Jenkins, Lu and Luis León, Jessica Pulsifer, Adelle Simmons, Margo Wiegenstein, and Keiko Yoshino; and friends of St. John’s Julie DeAngelis, Wendy Fox, Lois Herrmann, Al Larkin, and June Moore.
