From our organization as a parish in 1815 to today, St. John's Church has provided a powerful symbol of faith in the heart of our nation's capital.

Located at the corner of 16th and H Streets in Northwest Washington, St. John's is near the McPherson Square and Farragut North Metro stations. Limited street parking is available; free valet parking is offered for certain hours.

Bluegrass Music Festival

We are celebrating the last Sunday before Lent with a Bluegrass Music Festival at Sunday’s 11:00 a.m. service. The Parish Choir will be joined by North Carolina bluegrass band, the Chatham Rabbits. Husband-and-wife duo Sarah and Austin McCombie have emerged as one of North.

Choral Evensong

Choral Evensong in Celebration of Black History Month Thursday, February 17, at 5:15 p.m. February’s service of Choral Evensong will be sung in celebration of Black History Month. The St. John’s Choir will offer music by black composers including Trevor Weston, David Hurd, Undine.

Thursday, January 20, at 5:15 p.m. Steeped in the beauty of the Anglican tradition, Evensong meets us at the even point between the active day and the restful night. Evensong will be sung by the St. John’s Choir on the third Thursday of each.
