Welcome to St. John's Church, Lafayette Square—a vibrant historic Episcopal church located across from the White House. We invite you to join with us for worship, Christian fellowship and outreach.

From our organization as a parish in 1815 to today, St. John's Church has provided a powerful symbol of faith in the heart of our nation's capital.

At St. John's, we believe Christ is calling us to be a renewed church in a changing world. In worship, education, parish life, and social action, we seek to expand our horizons by serving God by loving one another.

Parents’ Night Out

First Friday of every month.

Enjoy free time with your significant other while your children (infants through age 10) are cared for at St. John’s. We will provide child care, a light supper, and entertainment for your children while you spend time together. Drop your children off in the Parish House nursery, and take advantage of the restaurants within walking distance. All we ask is that you pick up your children before 9:00 p.m. when the doors will be locked. Parents’ Night Out is held the first Friday of every month, unless otherwise noted on the St. John’s event calendar. Email Evangeline Gravina at evangeline.gravina@stjohns-dc.org or (202) 347-8766, ext. 301 to register.
