Book Group: Afterlives: A Novel

March 2 @ 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm

Please join us Thursday, March 2, at 6:45 p.m. for a discussion via Zoom of Abdulrazak Gumah’s Afterlives: A Novel. As a young boy, Ilyas was stolen from his parents on the coast of east Africa by German colonial troops. Returning home after years away, he finds his parents gone and his sister, Afiya, abandoned into de facto slavery. This is a sweeping, multi-generational saga of displacement, loss, and love, set against the brutal colonization of east Africa. For more information, please contact Janet Edmond.
