Book Group: Go, Went, Gone

December 1, 2022 @ 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm

The St. John’s Book Group will meet virtually on Thursday, December 1, at 6:45 p.m. to discuss Go, Went, Gone by Jenny Erpenbeck. This European novel tells the journey of a retired German university professor, immersed in the world of books and ideas, as he steps into the streets of his city, Berlin. Here, on Alexanderplatz, he discovers and gets to know a new community—a tent city, established by African asylum seekers. Richard finds his life changing, as he begins to question his own sense of belonging in a city that once divided its citizens into them and us. For more information, please contact Janet Edmond:
