Our monthly lunchtime concert series continues on November 2 with a special performance for All Souls’ Day. Six members of the St. John’s Choir sing Tomás Luis de Victoria’s poignant Requiem for six voices. One of the most famous Spanish composers of the Renaissance, Victoria wrote his requiem for the funeral of the Dowager Empress of Spain in 1603. It was the last work he composed before his own death in 1611.
Please join us to celebrate our lunchtime concert series and mark your calendars for upcoming performances. All programs begin at 12:15 p.m. and run for 30 minutes.
