The Reverend Andy Olivo came to St. John’s in June 2014 after serving for four years, first as a seminarian and then as associate rector, at St. Paul’s Church in Chattanooga, TN, where he worked primarily with college students, post-college young adults, and in Christian Education and pastoral care. Andy was active in the Diocese of East Tennessee as an elected and appointed member of several diocesan committees, and he worked with other area clergy and students to restart the Episcopal campus ministry in Chattanooga.

While in college he worked as a children’s director at St. John’s Church in Johnson City, TN, and began the discernment process for ordination. Andy attended seminary at the School of Theology at the University of the South, where he received his Master of Divinity degree in 2011.
Andy is married to Catherine Outten Olivo and they have one son, Charles Dana Outten Olivo, born on Christmas Day, 2014. Andy and his family enjoy watching baseball, going to the theater, visiting the National Portrait Gallery, eating good food, and playing with their Boston Terrier, Teddy.
