History

Tours

For more than 200 years, St. John’s, Lafayette Square has served as a place of worship for a growing and ever changing city and country. Its structure is a lasting testament to Benjamin Henry Latrobe, who, because of his training in both architecture and engineering, is considered by the American Institute of Architects as our country’s first architect.

Tours of St. John’s Church and Parish House take place on Sundays after the 11:00 AM service, free of charge. If you would like to arrange a private tour for your group, contact Richard Busch.
