The Plague of Love

12:15pm
Midweek Music presents the DC Singer Collective in a pre-Valentine's Day program of works by Claudio Monteverdi and Barbara Strozzi — two composers who explored themes of love as a source of pleasure, delight, amusement, torment, and everything in between.
The DC Singer Collective offers space for mutually-supportive connection, collaboration, and advocacy for musicians in the Washington DC metro area. Featuring a rotating roster of singers and musicians, the group presents collaborative programs exploring music from the Baroque era and beyond.
