Eric is an M.Div. student at Virginia Theological Seminary, Class of 2025. He grew up in Manatí, Puerto Rico and received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Central Florida. He majored in Philosophy and worked as an Industrial and Organizational Psychology research assistant. While still in college, Eric restarted the local campus ministry and served as its student leader for three years. In 2021, he worked as the lead English language instructor in a professional development program for adult learners. During that time, he taught liturgical Spanish to clergy in the Central Florida Diocese.
In the larger church, served as a member of the Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the 28th Presiding Bishop. He moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2022 to begin his seminary education and completed his field education at St. Paul’s K Street, where he served for approximately two years.
Eric is married to Jack, who works as a software engineer in Virginia. In their free time, Eric and Jack enjoy reading, visiting wineries and exploring nature.
