Eric is a graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary. He grew up in Manatí, Puerto Rico and received his undergraduate degree with honors in Philosophy from the University of Central Florida. While still in college, Eric restarted the local campus ministry and served as its student leader for three years.
In the larger church, Eric served as a member of the Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the 28th Presiding Bishop. He moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2022 and served at St. Paul’s Parish in Washington DC for two years. In 2024, Eric worked with Goodwin Living providing spiritual care to residents in palliative care and independent living. In early 2025, Eric was a participant in the Scholars’ program at Canterbury Cathedral. He was ordained to the priesthood in the summer of 2025.
Eric is married to Jack, who works as a software engineer in Virginia. In their free time, Eric and Jack enjoy playing pickleball, visiting wineries and exploring nature.
