Eric is an M.Div. student at Virginia Theological Seminary, Class of 2025. From a young age, he has had a passion for religion, history, and politics. Eric grew up in Manatí, Puerto Rico and received his undergraduate degree with honors in Philosophy from the University of Central Florida. He assisted in researching leadership development and organizational behavior. While still in college, Eric restarted the local campus ministry and served as its student leader for three years.

In 2021, Eric worked as the lead English language instructor in a professional development program for adult learners. During that time, he taught liturgical Spanish to clergy in the Central Florida Diocese. In the larger church, Eric served as a member of the Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the 28th Presiding Bishop. He moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2022 to begin his seminary education and completed his field education at St. Paul’s K Street, where he served for two years. In early 2025, Eric was a participant in the Scholars’ program at Canterbury Cathedral.

Eric is married to Jack, who works as a software engineer in Virginia. In their free time, Eric and Jack enjoy playing pickleball, visiting wineries and exploring nature.
