From our organization as a parish in 1815 to today, St. John's Church has provided a powerful symbol of faith in the heart of our nation's capital.

At St. John's, we believe Christ is calling us to be a renewed church in a changing world. In worship, education, parish life, and social action, we seek to expand our horizons by serving God by loving one another.

The Parish Choir provides an opportunity for members of the parish and community to contribute their talents to the 9:00 a.m. Sunday service. The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings, preceded by dinner and social time. New members are always welcome. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to send an inquiry to the Director of Music and Organist

The Summer Choir combines the forces of the Parish Choir and St. John’s Choir as well as additional members who are unable to make a regular commitment during the program year. The Summer Choir rehearses each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. before the 10:30 a.m. service.
